Possibly the largest and most active International Disaster Response Network (IDRN) Legacy Group operates in the Philippines.

IDRN Philippines been instrumental in establishing and strengthening disaster response capabilities in the country since the network’s inception in 2007. The Philippines, being prone to natural disasters such as typhoons and earthquakes, has benefited greatly from IDRN’s expertise and resources.

Elmer Gelbolingo has been the primary lead of the teams have worked tirelessly to train and equip local communities with the necessary skills and knowledge to respond effectively to disasters. They have also facilitated collaboration between various stakeholders, including government agencies, non-governmental organizations, and the private sector, to ensure a coordinated and efficient response. Elmer, who is himself Filipino, has invested heavily in the IDRN Philippines since the beginning even though he spends much of his time with his wife in the Aceh Province of Indonesian island of Sumatra.

IDRN Philippines has been involved in numerous disaster response efforts throughout the years, providing crucial support in the aftermath of typhoons, earthquakes, and other emergencies. Their work has helped save lives, reduce suffering, and build resilience in communities across the country.
