You’ve probably heard us use the term ‘Champion’ when describing our vision for IDRN, and I’ll admit, it’s a title that might scare off a few people. It sounds big. But I want to clarify what we really mean.
I see a champion simply as someone willing to encourage others and help build IDRN. Your focus could be your city, your industry, or any group you care about. Your approach and your time commitment are up to you. What matters is the desire to help.
Right now, you might be the only person from your country involved with IDRN. That’s a perfect place to start. Consider yourself a Champion. If you find someone else down the road, you can hand off the title or become co-champions.
My role is to be a champion for the entire network. Your role can be to champion of your part of IDRN.
For inspiration, we’ve posted a long list of examples on our website. Just go to IDRN.info, ‘Join Us’ and look under the submenu options for ‘Volunteering’ Thanks for listening, and I hope that you will consider being an IDRN Champion.
