Trusted starting point
IDRN exists to help people of good will find one another, exchange practical wisdom, and form local relationships that matter all the more when crisis arrives.
Help make field-tested knowledge easier to find, trust, and pass along.
Relationships matter most when seeking the real solutions that are almost always local.
Always encouraging new connections, this network meets you where you are.
IDRN is not the solution. It seeks to help you find the solution.
IDRN is a global relational network. An existing member must personally invite you to join. If you do not currently know anyone who can invite you in, then reach out and we'll see where things go. If you do know an IDRN member, get them to send you an invite through the IDRN Global Village.
How it starts
IDRN is relationship-driven. No cold calls. No generic lists. If you want to meet someone, let us know where your work, geography, and trust already overlap.
Prepared relationships
Crisis demands working with people you met just 5 minutes ago. We prefer working with long-time trusted friends who share IDRN values.

A pledge to the principles... not to a group
“I pledge to illuminate unseen resources, champion best practices, and foster relationships that empower local preparedness and response within our global family.”I want to make the pledge
Planning visualizer
IDRN is actively looking to the future. You can also look at the data and start deciding where to focus.
Watch
We value real people and we don't want to exploit anyone in crisis. IDRN uses AI-generated visuals to illustrate humanitarian scenarios responsibly. This ensures that we never compromise the safety or privacy of the survivors and volunteers who make up our global network.
The International Disaster Response Network is a global relational network that was established in 2007. IDRN Global, is a nonprofit 501c3 organization based in the United States of America that was established in Texas in the fall of 2024 specifically focused on facilitating the growth of the existing relational network.
IDRN Global is not the entire network. It is a dedicated organization focused on facilitating and supporting the entire network by encouraging awareness, highlighting best practices, and promoting new and better levels of collaboration among response groups and networks around the world.
IDRN Global is not intended to be the same as IDRN USA or IDRN United States. IDRN Global operates as a peer to the historical functional IDRN groups that have persisted in Southeast Asia and East Asia through the years.
